Our History

The Northeast Cotillion is an organization that has been serving families for over 50 years. The foundation of Cotillion is to introduce middle school young men and women to the timeless principles of social etiquette, character, confidence, and the fundamentals of dance. There is a strong emphasis on learning how to conduct oneself with courtesy, respect, and confidence in a variety of social settings and life experiences.

Throughout the season, students receive instruction in both formal and social dances taught by professional instructors. The Cotillion experience is designed to build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, reinforce respectful behavior and proper etiquette, and foster friendships that often continue throughout high school and beyond.

We are thrilled to continue our valued partnership with St. Petersburg Christian School, where our six-monthly Cotillion sessions will be held, and with Dynasty Stars, whose professional instructors provide outstanding dance instruction throughout the season.

This year, we are excited to introduce themed evenings that will make each session even more engaging and memorable. Each event will feature a unique theme that complements the evening's dance instruction and etiquette lesson, providing students with practical opportunities to apply the social skills they are learning in a fun and meaningful environment.

Students will also enjoy a variety of dress experiences throughout the season, with each session featuring a designated dress code that reflects the evening's theme and reinforces appropriate attire for different social occasions.

The season culminates with our elegant Spring Finale at the Marriott St. Petersburg–Clearwater, where students celebrate everything they have learned throughout the year during an unforgettable evening of fine dining, dancing, and cherished memories.
